Last week I spoke about the importance of verifying your domain with Facebook, and if you haven’t done that already, make sure you go and do it as soon as possible – because if you want to continue to successfully run ads with Facebook, you need to get your domain verified.
Once your domain is verified, the next thing you want to do is select and prioritise the events you want to track with your Facebook Ads. Due to Apple’s changes, there’s a limit to the amount of tracking that Facebook can do on iOS devices, so you need to select the eight events that you want to track and put them in order of priority.
So, for example, if you’re an ecommerce business, your top priority event will, of course, be Purchases, and then you work backwards with Initiate Checkout, Add to Cart, View Content, and Page View.
So get that done, and I’ll see you again next week for my next tip.
